John Swanson,
Window & Door editor/associate publisher | According to a recent survey of more than 1,000 WDweekly recipients, 98 percent rate our coverage as “good” or better. In fact, 56 percent say we’re “very good” and another 15 percent score us as “excellent.”
That was pretty great feedback to receive, but we’re not resting on our laurels. This week, we’re proud to introduce a new streamlined look to WDweekly. Based on the survey results, we’re enhancing our Tip of the Week also, to make it more industry specific and broader in scope. In the future, we’ll go beyond marketing to address such topics as safety, maintenance, legal issues and human resources.
At Window & Door, our electronic efforts will continue to evolve. And since we’re taking a new step this week, I thought I would use our weekly poll to see where the industry is on the evolutionary scale. As usual, I’d like to hear your comments too. Do you still print a catalog? Do you still talk to people? Email me and let me know how your communications with customers has changed.
While we're on the subject, please take a moment to configure your e-mail software so that it recognizes WDweekly@WindowandDoor.net as a friendly, "safe sender" e-mail address. This "whitelisting" of our address will prevent your software from blocking some elements of WDweekly, to ensure that you receive and experience our newsletter in its entirety.
RESULTS AND COMMENTS FROM LAST WEEK'S POLL—"How would selling three standard, non-white colors, with a minimal upcharge, affect your sales?":
Color has fans, but not everyone get’s excited about it. Click here to see what the industry has to say about opportunities with color.
Editor’s note: WDweekly would like to thank Simonton Windows for contributing the first “new and improved” Tip of the Week. If your company is interested in making a similar contribution to a future edition, please email me to find out more.
