AAMA and IGMA Meeting Together in June

The American Architectural Manufacturers Association and the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance are hosting their summer meetings together June 10 through 13 in Huntington Beach, Calif. Each group’s committees will meet independently, while the two groups gather for social functions and special presentations planned for the event.

On the agenda is a keynote speech from Stuart Varney, an economic and financial journalist currently with
Fox News. Speaking about “The New Realities of the Global Economy,” Varney will focus on the issues that impact manufacturers’ ability to compete, including the economic and political climate, as well as trends, opportunities and hazards emerging worldwide.

Also planned is a presentation from Rob Brockley of
Commercial Building Products magazine. He will highlight the results of a recent purchasing-trends study conducted by his publication, focusing on key decision makers in the low-to-mid-rise commercial construction market. His report will look at brand selection criteria, product substitution, and the purchasing process and timeline.

Registrants for either the AAMA or IGMA meeting are invited to attend the other group’s sessions. As part of the official agenda, IGMA’s technical services committee and AAMA’s glass materials council will meet together.

More information about the event, to be held at the
Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, is available on both AAMA and IGMA Web sites.
