Glaston reports 17 percent increase in net sales for January to September
Despite uncertainty in the North American market, Glaston Corp. of Tampere, Finland, announced $256.3 million in net sales for January to September in the company’s interim report released Nov. 7.
Growth for the company can be seen in demand for its One-Stop-Partner deliveries. The acquisition of Albat+Wirsam in July, the integration of which is reportedly proceeding faster than planned, “brings significant added value to the One-Stop-Partner concept and customer feedback has been good all over the world,” says Mika Seitovirta, Glaston president and CEO.
Third quarter profits remained flat compared to 2006, combining with a strong first half of the year to produce the 17 percent increase.
Seitovirta called the profits “unsatisfactory,” but added that the “forecast for the final quarter of the year is good, exceeding the level of the third quarter.” ... read more
