Flat glass recycling opportunities increase in the United Kingdom
The Environmental Agency and the Waste & Resources Action Programme of the United Kingdom will reduce the permit requirements for handling and using waste glass materials, according to a report on the Materials Handling World Web site Nov. 7.

The flat glass Quality Protocol will aid the recycling of the 6.6 million windows replaced each year in the country. The process of recycling flat glass consumes 75 percent less energy than is used to produce flat glass from raw materials ... read more
