PGT lays off employees in restructuring effort
Officials at PGT, Venice, Fla., announced in an Oct. 25 release that 17 percent of the company’s indirect workforce, or 8 percent of the company’s total employees, were out of a job. The layoffs are part of a streamlining and restructuring program meant to save the company $16 million annually, according to the release.
