Air powered lifter-tilter
Anver Corp. of Hudson, Mass., developed a hoist-based, air powered Lifter-Tilter. It provides tilt action with a pneumatic cylinder, and has three 13-inch-by-23-inch rectangular vacuum pads with non-skid surfaces for securely holding and supporting glass or stone, according to a company release. With 550 pounds vertical holding power for each pad, the two outside vacuum pads can be shut off for center-only load handling. Lifter-Tilter features include adjustable tilt speed, vacuum gauges, audio-visual alarms, adjustable vacuum pads for panels with openings or other obstructions, and handles at both ends of the beam. It is available with an air- or electric-operated vacuum pump, and 500-, 1,500- and 2,000-pound capacities.
