Broken glass stabilizer
Dow Chemical Co., headquartered in Midland, Mich., introduced the Broken Glass Stabilizer spray foam kit. It uses proprietary patent-pending technology that secures broken glass windows almost immediately with fast curing spray-on polymeric foam. Users can fuse hazardous broken glass into a safe panel, patch window holes with a weather-tight seal, and trap glass shards into a manageable solid. The foam cures within one minute of application and secures all window breaks, from small cracks to glass completely missing, according to a company release. The kit is suitable for use by facility managers, maintenance staff and homeowners for glass clean up until permanent repair can be made. It can also be used for auto glass, and no air compressor is required. The BGS 24 kit will secure two 3-foot-by-4-foot windows.
