Spacer with improved thermal efficiency
Edgetech I.G. of Cambridge, Ohio, recently launched an addition to its Super Spacer no-metal warm-edge spacer product line. The Super Spacer nXt has a new proprietary core for increased thermal efficiency and multiple color options. The core has a 360-degree integral barrier that is perforated on the inner side only to allow for desiccant activity once the insulating glass unit is assembled, and a secondary seal of hot melt for durability. The new outer barrier is available in a variety of standard colors, has a metallic appearance with more sheen but remains metal-free. The spacer features dimensional tolerance control, ultraviolet resistance and an almost seamless seal.
