Deglazing tool
Nelson Marketing of Garden Valley, Calif., introduced Glass Bot, an automated deglazing tool. It removes commercial and residential glazed units retained by adhesive materials, according to a company release. The high torque motor pulls a wire at slow speed through the adhesive. The machine is operated via remote control so the user can monitor the cutting of the sealant and control the panel being removed. The remote control has a reversible switch that shuts the unit off when not depressed. The machine allows removal of insulating glass units from the same side as the stops and is suitable for high-rise glazing.
