Maintenance-free skylights

Photo of Solar Innovations' skylights

Custom manufacturer of aluminum-glazed structures, Solar Innovations of Myerstown, Pa., developed skylights that are maintenance-free aluminum on the exteriors and either solid wood or wood laminate on the interiors. Standard wood options include solid mahogany and southern yellow pine laminate. Western red cedar, Spanish cedar and Douglas fir laminate are available upon request. The company’s aluminum weep-control system carries water and condensation away from the wood, preserving the interior. Wood surfaces can be prepared for final finishing with protective water-based sealer that minimizes damage and discoloration during delivery and installation; final sanding and finishing are completed by the purchaser. The company will match glass panels, size, roof pitch, colors and accessories to create a focal point or blend into surrounding architecture.
