Fatal accident at Pilkington facility
A 30-year-old woman was killed June 22 in an accident at the Rossford, Ohio, plant for United Kingdom-based Pilkington, according to a June 23 report from WTOL 11 News in Toledo. 

April Waxler, a new employee, was hit by a forklift and dragged; she died at the scene, according to the report. Pilkington and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration will both execute investigations into the accident … read more


Associations join in response to NFRC ratings program
Officials from four industry associations released a joint statement June 19 in response to the controversial nonresidential ratings program being developed by the Silver Spring, Md.-based National Fenestration Ratings Council.
