Ralph Nader headlines Americas’ Glass Showcase
Former presidential candidate and consumer advocate Ralph Nader opened the Americas’ Glass Showcase at the Las Vegas Cashman Center May 18, where he urged attendees to actively participate in the betterment of the architectural and automotive glass industries by reaching out to national and state legislators.
Hosted by the Americas Glass Association, Placerville, Calif., the two-day event was co-located with the Independent Glass Association’s spring meeting and featured a trade show and educational conference. The latter addressed topics ranging from frameless shower doors, to glazing safety and health, to fire codes and standards.
Eighty-one exhibitors representing the architectural and auto glass market segments were on hand May 18-19.
At press time, attendance figures were not yet available. The show closed an hour early Saturday because of the low number of afternoon attendees.
