Vitro’s flat glass division cuts debt by $135 million after merger
Shareholders for Mexico’s Vitro S.A. de C.V. approved Dec. 11 the merger of its flat-glass subsidiary Vitro Plan and Vimexico, according to a same-day company release. The merger will reduce Vitro Plan’s debt by $135 million, decreasing its debt to earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization ratio from 4.5 to 3.2 times, according to the release… read more

Kyro’s Glass Processing Group to merge
The Glass Processing Group of Finland’s Kyro Corp. that includes Tamglass Safety Glass Ltd., Tamglass Insulating Glass Ltd. and Tamglass Finton Oy, will consolidate into a single legal entity at the start of 2007, according to a Dec. 7 article from Finland’s KauppalehtiOnline.
