Doors Open for the 2019 Vitrum Glass Machinery Trade Show in Milan
The 2019 Vitrum glass machinery trade show opened today at Fiera Milano Rho in Milan, Italy. It is the 21st edition of the event and runs through Oct. 4. According to organizers, pre-show data points to growth for the show, including a 9 percent increase in total number of exhibitors, backed by a 21.37 percent rise in international stands, and an 11 percent upswing in net surface area. 
The December issue of Glass Magazine will feature new handling and transportation products, including lifters and manipulators, vacuum cups, glass trucks and racks, and more. Deadline to submit products is Friday, Oct. 11.
Glass Magazine is accepting entries for its 2019 Reader Photo Contest. This year's contest looks to highlight exceptional interiors—including decorative installations, glass floors, doors, walls, stairs, partitions and more. Deadline to submit photos is Friday, Oct. 11.

Trex Fabricates Five-story Staircase for New Salesforce Tower
The consulting firm Accenture opened its new flagship hub in San Francisco’s tallest building, Salesforce Tower. At the center of the 31st – 35th floor renovation is a stunning five-story staircase featuring sawtooth cut glass railing to match the rise of each stair, and shoe mounted glass railing on accompanying overlooks, supplied by Trex Commercial Products.
