C.R. Laurence Releases Industry-First Clear Space™ Elliptical Shower Door System

Clear Space from CRL introduces a new type of frameless shower door concept. It utilizes a patent-pending top door guide that produces an industry-first elliptical door swing. This maximizes usable floor space because the door is drawn inward as it swings open. Clear Space’s top door guide automatically folds away from the opening and stacks parallel to the sidewall to provide completely unobstructed entry. Two doors can be specified to create a 72” wide entrance that improves accessibility.

Rapid prototyping speeds glazing restoration

Accurate gasket prototyping from Tremco’s in-house Design Engineering Group utilizing their state-of-the art 3D printer takes time out of the process. Using multi-durometer filament options, Tremco can create a highly-accurate recreation of the size, shape and fit of the specific part including ERP, mullion profiles, glazing systems and more to better see how it all comes together as a complete system.

The Wilshire Grand Tower is a new 73-story skyscraper in downtown Los Angeles. At 1,100 feet it is the tallest building on the West Coast and spent over 20 years in the planning stage. The building includes upscale restaurants, office spaces and the 889-room InterContinental Hotel. A distinct feature of Wilshire Grand is its glass façade, which includes an LED-illuminated, sail-shaped glass pediment and spire at its top. The building is designed to withstand earthquakes up to magnitude 7.4 and has a massive central core to stabilize the building and provide support for the outer walls. Over 70 glass doors extend the project’s all-glass visuals to the ground floor, engaging passersby with unobstructed views into the interior. Read more...
