The Multi-Generation Workplace
To better understand your employees and what drives them to succeed, you have to understand that Generation X and millennial workers are operating in this world with a completely different perspective than baby boomers. The key to your organization’s future success is understanding how the different generations view the world and using that knowledge to motivate each.
Last week at Fiera Milano Rho in Milan, Italy, the glass industry gathered for the 20th edition of Vitrum, the biennial international exhibition of machinery, equipment and special products for flat and hollow glass processing. The four-day event combined displays of innovative technologies in the glass processing machinery, special products and accessories industries.

The façade of this two-story detached house features transparent window areas and opaque, tinted grey glass panels mounted on a wood substructure using concealed fasteners. The glazed outer skin gives the building an elegant look that changes with the weather. Inside, kitchen countertops, floors and cupboards in the bathroom and partitions in the living room also incorporate glass. Plans for the house reflect the building owner’s requirement not to use artificial light sources during the daytime. All of the rooms have floor-to-ceiling window panels that offer panoramic views as far as the Swiss Alps. Read more...
