 A new rooftop canopy on NYU’s Langone Medical Center marries form and function. The hospital’s electrical, plumbing and air-handling systems were placed on the rooftop above the new entryway of the emergency department and behind a translucent glass box. The relocation of the mechanicals provides protection for systems during flood conditions, such as occurred during Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Read more...
