Arthur Berkowitz Discusses Deal with Consolidated Glass Holdings
On Nov. 3, officials from J.E. Berkowitz LP announced the company joined Consolidated Glass Holdings Inc., an affiliate company of private equity group, Grey Mountain Partners. Arthur Berkowitz, executive vice president of JEB and the company's third generation owner/manager, leading for more than 40 years, spoke with Glass Magazine about the deal.

The B’VARIO TPS is an individual I.G. manufacturing solution providing unique versatility. It can be additionally equipped with the new finisher for the aesthetic smoothing of the bevel joint. In either case, the thermoplastic spacer TPS® is applied directly onto the glass by machine, from a single drum, as part of the I.G. production. The spacer width can be changed as desired during operation without any time loss. There is no need to stock different spacer profiles and connectors.

The Sherman and Joyce Bowie Scott Hall is a 110,000-square-foot, $75 million research building on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. A new home to nano fabrication, the Wilton E. Scott Institute for Energy Innovation and the Biomedical Engineering Dept., the facility houses labs, office space, a cafe and a 10,000-square-foot cleanroom. Read more...
