A major, though often ignored, threat to all glass and glazing companies lies within their computer technology. Every day, companies use computers to process orders, create designs, fabricate products and handle shipments. But these activities open them up to data threats like web scams and viruses that put them at great risk of lost time, information or money when these scams strike.

From the Fabricator: An Incredible Project

Last week I took my daughter on a college campus tour at Michigan State University. In the middle of campus, a building absolutely stuck out and took all of my attention. The structure was the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, and while I had read about it over the years and seen a picture or two, it did not shake me until I saw it up close.

The Netflix Headquarters expansion in Los Gatos, California, is a multi-phase project involving the construction of four low-rise buildings on a 15-acre campus. Phase 1, Buildings 1 and 2, is complete, and Phase II, Buildings 3 and 4, is underway. Buildings 1 and 2 connect via a mid-air bridge. Over 100,000 square feet of glazing and 175,000 square feet of painted 1/8-inch aluminum panels are used in the total project. Read more...
