About today's special edition

This special edition of e-glass weekly marks the second of four issues in which we present the Glass Magazine Award nominees for best installer, production supervisor, project manager and sales rep. After narrowing down the nominations to three finalists in each category, the Glass Magazine editors need you to decide the winners.

This week: Best Production Supervisor. The nominees are counting on your votes, so read more about them and cast your vote now!

Meet the Best Production Supervisor finalists

As production supervisor for Hale Glass Inc., Moe manages the fabrication facility and its personnel, including machine operators and assembly personnel. He leads morning meetings with the team to discuss the day’s jobs, and assists by monitoring production and quality, determining bidding and production schedules, managing equipment repairs and facilitating safe packaging and delivery of orders.
As vice president and production supervisor, Albanese manages the office personnel, the shop crew and an outside union field force. He creates daily schedules, handles estimating, fleet management and contract negotiations. As production supervisor, he has assisted in fast-paced and complex projects, and has made investments in the company with machinery acquisitions and personnel appointments.
Since 2001, Duval has worked as a plant manager at various glass companies. Currently, he manages and operates a 160,000-square-foot lamination facility with up to 100 employees. Duval is responsible for daily production and capacity planning, safety, quality and efficiency goals, as well as cost reduction, on-time delivery and plant budget goals.
