About today's special edition

This special edition of e-glass weekly marks the first of four issues in which we present the Glass Magazine Award nominees for best installer, production supervisor, project manager and sales rep. After narrowing down the nominations to three finalists in each category, the Glass Magazine editors need you to decide the winners.

First up: Best installer. The nominees are counting on your votes, so read more about them and cast your vote now!

Meet the Best Installer finalists

As Giroux Glass’ Las Vegas general superintendent, Witham oversees installations on the glazier’s projects in the city from start to finish, including estimating, bidding, scheduling hours and manpower, procuring required materials, and putting the right people on the job. He oversees the overall project, from conception of the estimate, to strategically measuring and creating the best means and methods.
Armentrout celebrated 20 years with Service Glass Industries in May. He serves as foreman for the company, and acts as Service Glass’ trainer for safe use of a bosun’s chair. “Elmer is an expert at water testing installations in the field, and is the go-to guy on any specialty projects or art glass installations,” says David Himes, vice president of field operations at Service Glass.

Kimzey has served in the glass industry for 15 years, and as lead glazier for the Glass Guru in Roseville, Calif., since 2009. In addition to handling the installation responsibilities for the local store, Kimzey also handles technical calls for the franchise. He has been an integral part of our franchise team, and a top money maker for the company store as well.
