Week 1 of the World Cup of Glass is now underway. I selected 12 countries and broke them into three groups. Each week I’ll look at the four countries in that division and then decide on a winner. So to kick it off, this week’s group is Germany, Finland, Canada, and Israel.

ICD recently introduced CeramiGlass Frost Etch to deliver a product line that meets the growing decorative glass specification needs in the architectural community, the company reports. CeramiGlass Frost Etch, a 100 percent water based ceramic-like coating, simulates the look of an acid etched process without the environmental concerns or difficult sourcing, according to ICD. CeramiGlass Frost Etch also is available in a full range of colors and can be screen-printed, sprayed or roller coated, allowing ICD-approved factory fabricators multiple usage opportunities with one product.

Highlighting the entrance of the high-end store are two walls of two multi-layered, heavy glass panels. “The thick glass is literally a structural and aesthetic focal point of the store,” says Joe Green, GlasPro president.
