Last Chance to Submit Glass Magazine Award Nominations
The deadline to submit nominations for the 2013 Glass Magazine Awards: The People, Projects and Products is close of business today, April 16. The  glass and metal industry awards program recognizes the most innovative products and services the industry has to offer, in addition to the most innovative projects completed within the past year. It also names winners for Best Project Manager, Best Production Supervisor, Best Sales Rep and Best Installer.
In an interview with Glass Magazine, Bowie Neumayer, vice president of sales and marketing for Cardinal Glass Industries, discusses new product launches on the horizon and why the glass industry needs to continue to educate the building community about the benefits they offer.

HD structural glazing tape
Pres-On introduced a high-density structural glazing tape for the cost-effective thermal sealing of curtain walls, storm windows and doors, and other building structures. The Empire State Building recently received an extensive renovation that included an update to the panoramic windows on the 102nd floor observation deck. The 102nd floor is the highest observatory at the New York City landmark, and the renovation team faced the challenge of offering time-tested, clear, unobstructed views from its windows. For the project, the team chose a combination of low-iron, ultra clear glass, and a scratch-resistant coating. Read more...
