Glass globe highlights Louisiana research facility

A custom glass and aluminum lighted "globe" is the central design element of the $27 million, 70,000-square-foot Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise facility at the Research Park of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The structure was created as a custom skylight, rises nearly six stories and reaches 47 feet at its widest diameter.
