Glazed ellipse highlights Pensacola cancer center
The 95,430-square-foot, four-story Cancer Center of Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Fla., features a complex aluminum, glass and concrete ellipse that challenged glass and glazing companies. The egg-shaped structure is elevated so cars can pass underneath it, and features about 50,000 pounds of glass.
