Dallas Arts District gets a focal point

The basics: One Arts Plaza in Dallas is a $125 million multi-use commercial structure. Completed in January 2007, the 24-story building is the first of three located on about 10 acres at the eastern edge of the arts district in the northeast part of downtown.
The players: Architects, Morrison Seifert Murphy, Dallas, and Corgan Associates, Dallas; general contractor, Balfour Beatty Construction, Dallas; glazier, Trainor Glass Co., Dallas branch; glass fabricator, Oldcastle Glass, Santa Monica, Calif.; glass manufacturer, Guardian Industries Corp., Auburn Hills, Mich.; curtain wall fabricator, Trainor Glass Co.
The glass and systems: Guardian SunGuard Silver 32 on clear glass, a high-performance solar-control reflective coated glass, and Trainor custom aluminum unitized curtain wall.
